Helenvale Madrassah

Helenvale is one of the poorest areas of P.E. Notorious gang shootouts stalk the lives of people who reside in Helenvale. Previously known as KATANGA, a name that expresses the rough conditions of the area. Helenvale has always been a “no-go” area for social workers. Al-Fidaa Foundation has established for the first time ever a madrasah in this area. Students are given a meal a day.

Al Fidaa's AIMS:

To establish and supervise soup kitchens for the poor and destitute
Assisting learners and immediate family members of schools in poor areas with food, stationary etc.
Conducting of workshops instilling moral values to communities.
Promoting skills in needy person’s thus becoming self sufficient.
Establishing Islamic classes in areas of need.
To assist humans who are in distress with food, clothing, shelter and basic human requirements irrespective of creed, race or origin
To work in collaboration with other organisations that hold similar objectives
